“With COVID upon us the church realized we would not be in our Sanctuary for quite some time and reached out to Fernandez Painting again to mark the 150th anniversary of the Sanctuary with repainting the entirety of the space. The project included nearly 70 foot tall ceilings and vast expanses of wall spaces. Luis devised a plan involving the use of a spider lift that enabled the project to be done safely and far more economically than what other firms had quoted us. The steady pace his crew worked at also allowed us to save a great deal of money on the lift rental. On top of all that the job was executed flawlessly and what had been an area with off color ceilings and paint chipping walls looks new again. In addition to the painting work, Fernandez’s general contracting has been a huge assest to a group of volunteers as their contacts enabled other projects to be done. Buttressing our floors for added safety and intiating the sanding and sealing of the sanctuary floors after the painting will give the area a finished aspect and preclude further onerous projects. Communication was excellent. Luis and Marlo responded quickly via phone, text or e-mail should anything need clarification. The estimate and billing processes were straight forward and easily understood. The members of the Building comittee and our Pastor were all kept in the loop and pleased with all aspects of the project. Lastly, the crew was respectful of our space, worked cleanly and followed all sefety and COVID requirements to the letter.
